Since 1962 it has been the reference restaurant for those visiting the Marmore waterfall.Excellent traditional appetizers and first courses, in particular the wild boar fettuccine. Grilled meat and especially polenta with porcini mushrooms are a must. However, we came to eat snails.A true specialty, cooked perfectly and with an exquisite sauce. We will be back soon.Greetings to the great little Michele, whom we thank for his courtesy, but also the other guys who made us feel like family.
We have been returning to this cozy unpretentious and atmospheriv restaurant all the way from Denmark for many years. More than recommended
A must visit for anyone visiting the area. Great, authentic food in big portions, served with a smile. Everything is homemade.
Family run, the youngest who will inherit everything and who worked as a hotelier also entertains diners with his typical Umbrian humor. They may struggle to manage too many seats also because the kitchen closes before 10pm, but they are very kind to respond to every need.Oh. ATTENTION LARGE PORTIONS.If you can't finish everything, they can still give you the crap, anyway.Since the tables are outdoors (under the canopy) and in the Velino woods, some insects could happen nearby... further proof of the fact that the food is very good. Then there are also bikes hanging which isn't a bad thing. Thanks to Antico Casale who gave good advice.
Lovely, intimate place. Clean and welcoming. The friendly owners. The waiter Daniele, known as "puppy", is truly legendary!! Good, fast and very helpful. In short, everything . We recommend stopping by to taste the famous snails and paliata. You are special!
All good, excellent traditional Terni food, generous servings and tastes of times gone by.The environment is essential and the staff deliciously displays what the kitchen offers. It is certainly not a luxury place, but if you want to eat local dishes made according to family traditions you can reach a compromise. Right size for snails,Those like me who have always eaten them find the true way to cook them...For my taste, everything was excellent and a big thumbs up!!!Until next time
My girlfriend and I were here today, having bought two tickets for the Marmore waterfalls, when we reached the top we found several places but in the end the choice fell here after a careful "visual" analysis via Google. What can I say, the choice has never been so right. We were positively amazed regarding:Quality of the dishesQuantity of dishesWaiter serviceI countWe ate very well and tried a different platter than usual, with duck and goose breast, never tried before and were really satisfied, the cured meats seemed like a lot but they were so thin that they melted in the mouth and sensorial tastes started from there.I had sheep's gnocchi, my girlfriend had truffle tagliatelle. Without prejudice to the fact that many of the dishes offered belong to game, I thought that my gnocchi were too "heavy" for the flavor of the goat but instead, following the waiter's suggestion, I let myself be convinced, and what a pleasure! I never expected such delicacy of flavor regarding the meat, and the dumpling melted in my mouth! Then we ordered some roe deer morsels, the same abundant dish but with a fresh flavour, never accentuated, delicate and with a really good flavour.I managed to eat everything because I didn't take bread Finally this morning they had prepared the chestnuts, right there at the entrance, my girlfriend was left speechless, it was a sight to see the counter full of sweets! We tasted it and I think I will eat so few of these good ones in the future! The friendliness of the waiter plays everything in favor of this place which deserves much more than the current 4 stars I see.To return.
Today we organized a nice excursion to the Marmore waterfalls and we booked this restaurant, what can I say simply FANTASTIC!!!!! Tasty cuisine, generous portions and young and super friendly staff!!!! We ordered a platter of cold cuts and cheese as an appetizer then the tomato gnocchi for our son were delicious, I ordered the ciriole (they are spaghetti made with water and flour) with asparagus I also made the slipper... My husband ordered the tagliatelle sure homemade with truffles... And finally for dessert we had the crumbled bread with Chantilly cream and Nutella, amazing!!!!We will definitely be back!!!
